Derby Party - Hostess Essentials (Part 1)

Trays work out great for the seasoned hostess, especially when you have a large guest list.
I love the idea of these acrylic trays that you can order with most any design, size, and monogram (because let's face it, it's hardly preppy without initials)

You can find these sweet Lilly Pulitzer designs HERE!

I had previously blogged about the idea of getting some Derby Plates and napkins (sadly, I have been eying the restroom clothes to add a touch of 'class', haha)
Growing up,  I also learned the importance of having an good Ice Bucket for your wet bar. Let's face it, back in the day, they didn't have very many mini fridges (and if you go way way back no fridge/freezers at all; can you imagine how hard it must have been to be debonair with no ice in your cocktail?!)

Just Madras has a pretty sweet Nantucket style:
And always a chic and classy way to go, Waterford:
I picked this particular design because it happens to be the family's choice.
It's great with the matching glasses
But seeing as how this is set to be a slightly rowdy time, we may just go with some chinette plastics... I'll keep you updated...
Have YOU started planning your Derby Party?
